FILING DEADLINES

The Cox vs. Shell Oil Co. Settlement provided for specific periods of time during which claims could be filed. These Filing Deadlines are different for failures occurring at various times and differ based on the type of polybutylene potable water plumbing system the property in question  contains. The tables below summarize these timeframes.

1. Leaks occurring prior to 8/21/95 must be filed by 8/21/97. Filing date is Postmark date. Two such leaks are required.
2. Leaks occurring 8/21/95 through 8/21/97 must be filed by 11/21/97. If filed after that date, they must meet all requirements in the table below.
3. Leaks occurring after 8/21/97 must meet requirements in the table below.
